GÜDE Solingen - Chai Dao, Chinese forged chef's knife, 16 cm, olive wood, ALPHA OLIVE, double bolster, Handmade Germany
The Güde Alpha Olive series is clad in olive wood that's up to 500 years old. Each piece has been carefully selected, has unique grains, and its own history. This hard wood is perfect for rugged kitchen work.
The hallmark of the Alpha series is the double bolster. These knives are forged from a single piece of wood and are manufactured in over 40 manual steps. The result is very sharp blades, ideal balance, and a hardness of up to 58 HRC.
The Chai Dao is the Chinese chef's knife and should not be confused with a chopper or kitchen hatchet. This universal kitchen knife is the chef's knife in China. Millions of Asians cut and chop meat, vegetables, herbs, fish, and much more.
The blade length is 16 cm. The steel used is X50CrMoV15 and is rust-proof. These knives are not dishwasher safe. Clean the blade with warm water after use and dry the knife.
Knives as they were made in the old days, in the Solingen tradition, are what the family-run company GÜDE stands for. Numerous awards and unique knife series are proof that GÜDE is one of the world's top knife manufacturers.
