The grinding mechanism of the new grinder is made entirely of stainless steel, manufactured using a patented process. The result: an extremely durable material with knife-steel quality. After hardening, the edges of the grinding discs are sharpened again and "cut" the coffee beans. Thanks to the unique grinding technology, the grinder produces an extremely precise and consistent grind with virtually no "fines" across all grind sizes. The power transmission during grinding is optimal, and a double ball bearing makes the cranking smooth. This, too, demonstrates the craftsmanship of professionals. The Comandante development team relies on material expertise and attention to detail. The result is a hand mill "Made in Germany" that impresses with its finely tuned technology. The heart of this mill is the grinding mechanism, made of high-nitrogen, martensitic stainless steel with high hardness (approx. 58 Rockwell) and high toughness for long-lasting edge retention. Extremely sharp, individually sharpened Z-edges after hardening. A newly developed grinding mechanism geometry ensures a very homogeneous grinding result.
